McCann brings 16 years of strength & conditioning experience as well as advanced teaching to The Future Elite Academy. McCann is currently in his third off-season as the Head of Strength & Conditioning at Westlake HS. McCann was the Head Strength & Conditioning at Thousand Oaks HS from 2010-2016 where his teams compiled a 58-30 record and an appearance in the 2015 CIF Championship.
During McCann’s 6-year tenure at TOHS his strength & conditioning program was responsible for an 88% reduction in football related injuries. Due to his injury prevention training regimens the football program was able to completely eradicate all knee ligament, hamstring & shoulder injuries from 2010-2016. McCann has also served as an Assistant Strength Coach at the University of Idaho (2008-2009) as well as the Head Strength Coach at Calabasas HS (2009) & Bishop Alemany High School (2004-2008). McCann is also a certified USAW Sports Performance Coach.
During his 16 year teaching career McCann taught the following courses; AP Human Geography, Economics, World History, American History, Government and American Literature.
McGilvra brings over 16 years of Football experience. Growing up in the greater Houston area in Texas, McGilvra moved to Thousand Oaks in 2008 and was a top rated recruit throughout his High School Career. After his playing career ended due to injury in college, McGilvra jumped right into coaching. From 2015-2017 McGilvra was the Defensive Line coach at Moorpark College where he assisted the development of multiple D1 athletes to schools such as; University of New Mexico, UNLV, Oregon, Idaho, Cal Poly etc. After the 2017 season McGilvra stepped away from coaching to start an off season training program full time.
In 2018 McGilvra accepted a position as the Football Ops Manager at Mamba Sports Academy. In 2019 McGilvra coached a group of Pre Draft Defensive linemen preparing for the NFL Combine. In McGilvra’s class 4 out of the 5 players were drafted, one going in the 1st round (3rd overall) and the other 3 going in the 4th and 5th rounds.
McGilvra took a Defensive Line coaching position at College of the Canyons in 2019 and McGilvra’s defensive line unit led the Northern Conference in sacks (34) and is currently still on staff for the 2020 season.
Jake Woolley has been in the strength & conditioning field for 5 years and is the Director of Speed Performance for The Future Elite Academy. He previously was a sports performance coach for Mamba Sports Academy and Athletic Gaines where he was a part of two NFL and NBA combines. Clients have included Candace Parker, Todd Gurley, Trae Young, and Mario Herzonja among many other professionals across the basketball, football, and college arenas.
Jake played linebacker at College of the Canyons and Portland State University where he graduated in 4 years with a B.S. in Kinesiology. He served as the Calabasas High School S & C coach in 2018 as well as an assistant S & C coach at Portland State University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Aire is a defensive back coach from Los Angeles, California but graduated from Washington State University. He brings passion and results through his enthusiasm with each player he provides help to.
With the skills learned from his Father Tyrone Justin (49ers), two Uncle’s Sydney Justin (LA Rams), Kerry Justin (Seahawks) and cousin Airabin Justin (Ravens) Aire earned opportunities to play in the NFL, CFL, UFL and AFL. The knowledge gained over the years as well as the love of the game had strengthened the passion for Aire to teach “The Lost Art” of how to play Defensive back.
Aire spent the last 7 years coaching defensive backs at culver City high school where he helped over 10 players receive college scholarships. Most recently Aire worked with NFL players Trumaine Johnson, Jets, John Johnson, Rams, Troy Hill, Rams, Jordan Fuller, Rams, Terrell Burgess, Rams, Marqui Christian, Rams, 2019 2nd round pick Greedy Williams CB, Browns and Winston Rose who lead the CFL in interceptions for two consecutive years and recently signed with the Cincinnati Bengals; along with multiple D1 future NFL prospects through Mamba Sports academy as the lead skills specialist as well as his own business Aire Athletics.
Amanda is a double-threat. She is not only Director of Soccer but also, an English teacher at The Future Elite Academy. She has been involved with the beautiful game of soccer for over 20 years. Prior to coaching, she played D1 soccer at the University of California, Riverside for 4 years where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degree in Higher Education Public Policy & Administration. Furthermore, she was recorded as the first female athlete at UC Riverside to receive both a bachelor’s and master’s degree while still being enrolled as a student athlete.
In graduate school, she devoted her final dissertation to help students of all diverse backgrounds pursue their education to the University level. Students of these diverse backgrounds were students of color, students with learning disabilities, and student athletes. Her goal as a former D1 athlete and current educator is to make sure all of her students receive the same and equal opportunity to obtain a college degree.
Growing up as a student athlete taught her how to be disciplined, punctual, responsible, and accountable. Likewise, it allowed her to take her competitive mindset and apply it to all of her classes in school. Her tenacious behavior and attitude on the field made her want to compete even more in the classroom and together, with her prior student athlete mindset, she strives forher future student athletes to be confident in the use of their academics and sport performance each and every day.
Amanda wants her student athletes to be confident and proud of themselves each time they step foot on the field ready to train and ready to pursue each of their individual goals. She has no doubt that with this program, her student athletes will be motivated to achieve nothing but pure greatness!
Andy Flores brings 17 years of offensive line coaching experience to the Future Elite. Coach Flores has previously served as the Offensive Line Coach at Calabasas High School, Oaks Christian High School, and Westlake High School.
In addition, Flores’ industry recognized coaching expertise has led him to serve as an offensive line position coach for the USC Team Camp 2005-2015, UCLA Team Camp 2008-2015, University of Oregon’s Team Camp 2008-2014, as well as the Nike Opening from 2015-2019.
Caitlin previously worked at Mamba Sports Academy and interned with Arizona State University’s Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning. She received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at ASU, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is USAW certified.
She has worked with athletes in the NFL, NBA and WNBA, as well as youth, high school, and college athletes. Her goal is to bring more female athletes into the weight room and Sports Performance world.
Jerry previously worked at Mamba Sports Academy and has worked with athletes of all sports at the youth, high school, college and professional level.
Jerry played football at Azusa Pacific University and California Lutheran University before going onto receive his BA in Psychology and Human Development from University of Arizona and his MA in Strategic Communication from Pepperdine University. He’s a Performance Enhancement Specialist as well as a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
